Additional coders wanted......

The Administrators at the world famous Myndworx Asylum for the Programatically Insane are announcing the opening of a few new staff positions. These are staff coding positions so no direct contact with the patients is required. If you're a world class PHP programmer with DB experience, if you've had all of your shots, if the thought of sitting in front of a monitor hacking out code for no pay, if you're contemplating electroshock therapy, if you're interested in showcasing your skills, then this might be the place for you. We offer a sate of the art facility with a liberal dose of grekies. (If you are unsure what a grekie is, don't worry, so are we!) Please drop the admins a line at rayvenhaus at myndworx dot com.

New Supporter Levels

We've unveiled the long sought after Supporter Ranks. The following levels have been authorized by the Board of Regents of the Myndworx Asylum Facility:

Bronze Level Supporter - $25.00 in total donations in a one year period.
Silver Level Supporter - $50.00 in total donations in a one year period.
Gold Level Supporter - $100.00 in total donations in a one year period.
Platinum Level Supporter - $250.00 in total donations in a one year period.
Ruby Level Supporter - $500.00 in total donations in a one year period.
Diamond Supporter - $750.00 in total donations in a one year period.
Lifetime Supporter - $1000.00 in total donations in a one year period.

and the secretive, hinted at but never seen Supportus Imperious*.

*Rumored to have been awarded only once in the past century to Miles Adkison, Benefactor and providor of the Miles Adkison Memorial 15Kva ElectroShock Therapy room and Jacuzzi

Donation periods are from Jan 1st to Dec 31st of each year. Supporter levels are reset at the end of each year except for the top three levels (Diamond, Lifetime and Supportus Imperious levels).

To encourage donations and support from the community you get two things when you donate. First you get a donators only forum and you get the graphic ads and banners removed. Which results in a faster loading website for you. We also have some other incentives in the works and will roll them out in the next few months.

I hope that you'll take advantage of this and let me know what else you'd like to see in it for the community and for you.

The NexOS Support channel

Of course everyone is aware, by now, that we've started a support channel in IRC, right? What you say? You didn't know? Well then, it musta been one of the centuries best kept secrets!!!!!

Come on by, stop in and say hello, ask your questions, etc, etc. I can't always guarantee that someone will answer as we're idling in there a lot, but we will do what we can to answer your questions.

Also, in the spirit of idling: check this out: IdleRPG

1000 points of DF reset

There's been a persistent bug in the inbound/outbound voting routines that was allowing people to vote multiple times on the same day. You are only supposed to be able to vote once per day per site and that's been broken.

I've completely rewritten both the inbound and outbound routines and beta testing here indicates that I've finally squashed the bug.

To make things fair, I've reset the existing sites here so that everyone starts with a clean slate.

Thousand points of Dragonfly

I'd like to take a moment to announce the Thousand Points of Dragonfly campaign. Back in 1989, George Bush, Sr. was taking office for the first time. During his inaugural speech, he made this comment;

MwA Topsites released from Beta!

That's right. MwA Topsites passed regression testing early this am and the dev team went frantic wrapping up the v1.0.2.0 release and getting the update monitor going and updated as well. Which translates to "I finished hammering out the last few bugs early this morning, ran it against my test site and my production site, saw no show stopping bugs and then packaged it up and uploaded it to the site here.

This release closes all open bugs/tasks listed on the Project page and is considered to be a stable release suitable for use on production systems. As always, the use of this software is at your own risk, please always backup your system before updating/adding any MwA software, or any software for that matter.

The new release can be downloaded here.

New theme

As you can see, the theme here at MwA has changed. Finally we've gotten one that's unique to us and not just one that I've reworked. We wanted one that was unique and one that was minimalistic as possible, as was befitting an Insane Asylum.

With great thanks to djdevon3 at Treasure Coast Designs who personally put this together for use, we're proud to unveil it to the world!

We've had our lawyers all locked up on a dark and smokey room for over 3 minutes now and they've finally come up with the standardized warning labels and disclaimer for all MwA Software. Please, everyone, I implore you to read and follow these words of wisdom, after all, they cost us almost an entire nickel!!!!!
